MICROSOFT WINDOWS SHAREPOINT SERVICES
Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services allows teams to share information and documents in a way they never have
before. For files, it provides file check-in and check-out functionality; version history of files to be saved
for easy access to previous versions of files for auditing and rollback; discussion threads about files; an online file search; and flexible, customizable views of document libraries. SharePoint sites store event calendars, contacts, web links, discussions, surveys, issues lists, announcements, and much more. Users can set email alerts for when sites, documents, or other user-defined objects change.
IT Workers who want to try their hand at creating a website for work can do so easily and without fear of
bringing down the server or bothering busy administrators. Sites can be easily created for projects, tasks,
or meetings, all with separate to-do lists, discussions, document libraries, meeting minutes, etc. which can be
fully customized by the site owner. SharePoint Services also natively shares its data with the Microsoft Office
System 2003 for a seamless work experience.
